Projects
Idefix, a rover developed by CNES and the German Space Agency, will be carried by the Japanese MMX probe to explore Phobos, Mars’ primary moon. The mission aims to collect samples from Phobos’ surface and bring them back to Earth. Serving as a scout for the probe, the rover will conduct in-situ measurements to characterize the moon’s surface. The rover will land near the sampling site chosen by Jaxa and deploy itself using its legs and solar panels. The mission is scheduled for launch in 2026.
Nimesis has been selected to equip the rover with three mechanisms for deploying the solar panels, based on the Hector actuator that using a torsion-based SMA component.
Scientific mission to explore the moons of Mars. A high-tech rover will travel to Phobos and Deimos to explore and collect samples. We provide: rotary actuators as well as TRIGGY.
Additionally, two Triggys installed inside the rover will enable the deployment of another mechanism.
Development of an autonomous ground fire detection system via satellite data transmission and/or any other terrestrial transmission network.
An artistic project aimed at sending a deployable structure to the Moon. The structure will open and close according to the lunar day and night cycle. This artistic odyssey is led by French artist Anilore BANON.
Smart pinpuller, compatible with various HDRMs. Triggering time: 30 to 90 seconds. Triggering temperature up to 230°C. Compatible with many satellites and other spacecraft.
